Elissa Lansdell's first love has always been performing.  Her obsession, meanwhile, has become home redecorating. With Picture This, Elissa is able to combine her two great loves. 

Elissa earned a bachelor of arts in English and political science from the University of Toronto's Trinity College. Upon graduation, she started a career in broadcasting as an associate producer for a national talk show.  However, Elissa's winning personality and easy good looks got her noticed; she soon moved on-air as an entertainment and weather reporter for a local affiliate. 

Elissa's next challenge was as an anchor for the Weather Network, where her Second City Improv class and former beauty pageant skills really came in handy. Elissa credits her work on live TV as helping her to be a better stepmom.  As she says, "nothing fazes me anymore." 

In 2002, Elissa joined Country Music Television as a host and writer. During her time at CMT, she traveled the globe to interview the biggest stars in country music, including Shania Twain, Faith Hill and Reba McEntire.   Last year Elissa married Lonestar drummer Keech Rainwater. Her life and career moved to Nashville, where she currently lives. 

Elissa spends her time with her stepson, Dakota, and their many adopted animals, while decorating their home on Old Hickory Lake in Tennessee. As the new host of Picture This, Elissa is excited to bring her design ideas and on-camera personality to the world.
